Baxter of California.  Famous for its men’s fine grooming products, Baxter of California has introduced White Wood Number 2 scented candles.  Woodsy and masculine, these are the candles for the urban guy to impress his friends and significant others.

Dorn Bracht GmbH’s Horizontal Shower.  The German company Dorn Bracht GmbH designs and creates bathroom fixtures–and not just any fixtures.  Combining architecture and design, the results are nothing less than stunning.  Living up to their reputation as true innovators and avatars of ingenious yet practical form-and-function, the company has introduced a horizontal shower (yes...horizontal.)  Brilliant.

Hygge & The Danes.  To appreciate the seemingly endless pleasures of Denmark, particularly her people, one needs to first understand the Danish concept of hygge, a design philosophy which does not translate to a single English word.  The premise is simple :  one should create an environment which is comfortable, familiar, intimate, and inviting.  It’s important to appreciate the effort in achieving this.  Scandinavian winters are cold and harsh so one always needs to welcome family, friends and neighbors to environs which are instantly warm, not just in terms of temperature but approach, too.
